San Diego Cable Railings powder coated steel posts are made from thick-walled, pre-galvanized steel. They are pre-drilled with 12-hole and 10-hole options for 42″ and 36″ railing systems. These pre-made steel posts work great with all of our most popular assemblies and with your favorite wooden or hardwood top rail. These posts are a great option for a smooth installation. With welded plates for surface-mounted or fascia-mounted railing systems, attaching a top railing of your preference is easy and sleek. Great for complete cable infill and maximum visibility; no bottom railings are required. Complete systems fabricated for as little as $40 per lineal foot. Tech Notes: ▸  Recommended post spacing max 4′ O.C. ▸  Recommended top railings: 2×6″ minimum for soft woods, 2×4″ minimum for hardwoods. ▸  Surface mounted posts feature 2 plates for mounting to a deck surface and top railing. ▸  Fascia mounted posts feature 1 plate for mounting to the outside face of deck and top railing. ▸  Always check local building codes.
