Houzz is a site that allows users to share ideas about architecture, interior design and decorating, landscape design and home improvement. We were honored to once again be named “Best of Houzz” for customer and client satisfaction!
On the site, you can also see what people say about products and companies in the review section. We came across this one that summarizes our efforts and success with our products, as well as our store, both on and offline.
I have a home on a golf course in the Pacific Northwest. It has a rather large back deck with a view of fairways and woods. When the time came to replace the deck, I wanted something that would let me fully enjoy that view. After some thought on the matter, I decided that a natural cedar deck and railing would look great,
what with being in the woods. But I didn’t like the way the uprights between the posts would interfere with the view. After researching the subject, I decided that stainless steel cabling would be the best solution. It doesn’t interfere with the view, is low maintenance and, as it turns out, looks really great.
After several weeks of searching the internet to learn about the products and suppliers of stainless steel cabling for decks, I happened onto the website of San Diego Cable Railings. What immediately got my attention was the simplest and most understandable packaging and presentation of cable railing products I had run across in my search. Instead of a plethora of fittings, nuts, bolts, washers, screws, cables, etc., etc., Steve Sherritt, the owner of San Diego Cable Railings has put together a small collection of packages each of which comes with everything you need to install it. Each package is simple to understand and, together, they provide the variety you need to do whatever you want to do. Its a lot like tinker toys, simple, powerful, effective and fun. And the materials and design of the fittings, cable and hardware are top notch.
Steve also offers some really well thought out accessories, such as a choice of his own designed drilling templates for different railing heights. My contractor initially was not entirely comfortable with my insistence on picking all the materials and accessories for the job, but was blown away with how simple, quick and easy it was to install everything. His comment was that the ease of installation with San Diego Cable Railing’s products save’s enough time to provide top quality at a lower cost than using ordinary products. And it really looks great. If I were younger, I would have done it myself (as I did back when) without any problem. I found that other benefits which also come from dealing with San Diego Cable Railings were competitive prices and great service. I recommend then highly.
